Make a scanned PDF searchable
A scanned PDF is just pictures, so you cannot search it or select its words. This tool reads the text and adds it to the file, so you can press Ctrl+F to find a name or copy a paragraph while the page still looks like the original scan.
Choose the language of the document before you start, because it changes how the letters are recognised. You can use a scanned PDF or a single image. Long documents take more time since every page is processed on your device.

Searching for a word in your PDF reader finds it, and you can select and copy the text.
Will my pages change?
Pages are cleaned up for better reading (black and white); the text layer itself is invisible.
Will the PDF look different afterwards?
No. The scan stays as it was; the recognised text is added so you can search and copy it.
What is the difference from Amharic PDF OCR?
Searchable PDF gives you a PDF with hidden text. Amharic PDF OCR gives you the extracted text itself.
